Multichoice announced the adjustment for Gotv and Dstv subscription prices on 25th of April 2023 citing economic challenges impacting their business operations in Nigeria as the reasons for the price changes.
Nigeria currently struggles with an inflation rate of 22.04%. This and other factors have resulted to high cost of consumer goods and services in the country.
The new cost for the Gotv and Dstv packages are an average of 16.5% increment. The most popular package Dstv Yanga is adjusted from N2,950 to N3,500 that is about 18.6% increase.
The new prices will take effect from the 1st of May 2023.
