Soon he became well known throughout the surrounding country.
St. Luke 4:15 He taught in their synagogues and was praised by everyone.

St. Luke 4:16 When he came to the village of Nazareth, his boyhood home, he went as usual to the synagogue on the Sabbath and stood up to read the Scriptures.
St. Luke 4:17 The scroll containing the messages of Isaiah the prophet was handed to him, and he unrolled the scroll to the place where it says:
St. Luke 4:18 ” The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has appointed me to preach Good News to the poor. Jesus mandate was to deliver the Good News

A. Good News from eternal destruction. By the blood he shed for us on Calvary, he has redeemed us.

Galatians 3:13 But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”

Jesus has to go this route that we might be safe. He removed the curses of Law from us and His Blood was available to redeem us.

B. Good News to the Poor .
Poor means people that has been lacking in one or more in their endeavours.

For example, someone might be poor in Academics, Jesus has declared you free in Jesus Name. Poor in Health, Jesus has brought a good news. Someone in Lack in finances, He is ready to supply your needs

C.
